GET INVOLVED & SUPPORT WIP!
Thank you for supporting the work and campaign at Women in Prison - change is only possible with your help, thank you! There are a number of ways you can continue your support and join WIP.
CAMPAIGN FOR CHANGE
WIP campaigns to significantly reduce the women’s prison population and for the investment in women’s community support services. Give more power to our campaigns by supporting the call for change. Keep in the loop about our latest campaign calls by signing up to our newsletters (scroll down) and following us on twitter - @WIP_live.
DONATE EVERYDAY THINGS (ART SUPPLIES, CLOTHING, TOYS, WOOL, MAKE-UP etc etc)
As well as specialist counselling and advocacy WIP’s support work can also involve smaller acts of care to help with the every day. Examples include providing cooking utensils, suits for interviews, toys for the in-prison mother & baby units or sending make-up to a transwoman prisoner held in the male estate.
Arts and crafts is a big part of WIP’s group work and activities in prison and at our women’s centres. Art can be therapeutic and is an interesting way for women to be heard. The materials for this work are very costly to the charity we are therefore very grateful for donations of any and all art and craft supplies!
DONATE TO THE WIP FUND!
Women’s support services are always hard pressed for funding so any donation big or small is very gratefully received, thank you! We are in the process of setting up an online fundraising page but for now you can send in a cheque addressed to Women in Prison Ltd or contact us for other ways of donating.
Please email: email@example.com
or post cheques to FAO Rita Hirani, Unit 10, The Ivories, 6 Northampton St, London, N1 2HY.
