EDUCATION

We can help you access information about various education opportunities both while in prison and after release. We can also offer funds to help pay for course fees and materials. You will need to see a WIP Advisor to apply.

Types of courses:

While you are in prison you can study via ‘distance learning’. This is where you study in your own time. You will receive course materials which you work through and have assignments/essays to complete. These are usually to a deadline which you will need to meet to successfully complete the course.

On release we can help source courses and funding for community-based learning.

We also offer grants for course materials for items such as books and equipment.
