Directories of Services for Women Affected by the Criminal Justice System

Women in Prison are currently in the second phase of a project funded by the Equality and Human Rights Commission. As part of our project we have developed services databases that cover the areas listed below:

These databases list a range of statutory and voluntary agencies that can provide support, advice and guidance to women affected by the Criminal Justice System and who have a range of issues. The databases are split in to the following sections:
·         Women only services
·         Criminal Justice information
·         Accommodation
·         Drugs & alcohol
·         Mental health,
·         Sexual & domestic violence
·         Sex Work
·         Employment, education and training
·         Children, relationships and families
·         Health
·         Immigration
·         Young People
·         LGBT

These databases will be useful to any statutory or voluntary agencies that work with women who may be affected by any or a range of the issues above, and are seeking support to address them. The database can be used to find services in your area, or in an area that you are not particularly familiar with. We are currently working towards creating a merged database.

If you are having any problems with the database please do not hesitate to contact Laura Emsley laura@womeninprison.org.uk
